Mr. Somdech Chaisurin, representing Indorama Polyester Industries (Rayong), receives the award for “Good Governance Environmental Award 2011” from Deputy Governor of the Industry Ports Authority, Mr. Jakarat Lertophad, on behalf of the Industrial Estates Authority of Thailand at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate on March 13, 2012

On 13 March 2012 IRPL, represented by Khun S.P. Kamat (Vice President – Manufacturing), received “Environmental Governance Award 2011 (Green Star Project)” from Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), by Khun Jakkarat Lertopas, Deputy Governor (Industrial Port) – representing Governor of IEAT, at Somjate Room, Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office. IRPL has joined the environmental governance program following IEAT’s pollution reduction and mitigation project for industrial plants in Map Ta Phut industrial complex to exercise practical application on environmental governance, including information provision and disclosure, accountability, and community participation. Winning IEAT’s environmental governance award was the result of audits in 2011 conducted by industrial factory working audit team, comprising IEAT officials and community representatives, on environmental management and social responsibility with “excellent” ratings in all topics.
Congratulations to another 2 IVL companies in MTP Industrial Estate, i.e. Indorama Polyester Industries PCL (IPI) and TPT Petrochemicals, which also received similar award from IEAT.

Indorama Polymers Public Company Limited, AsiaPet (Thailand) Limited, Petform (Thailand) Limited and Indorama Holdings (Thailand) Ltd. have received an award as a good model for the management of labor and social responsibility during the floods of 2011 from the Ministry of Labor on February 29, 2012.

Queretaro Site passed through an external audit curried out by BVQI Mexicana, in order to get the recertification of the ISO 14000, which is an internationally recognized Environmental Management System Standard.

Bangkok, Thailand - 14 November 2011 - Auriga Polymers Inc., the U.S.A. subsidiary of Indorama Ventures PCL, has been honored by being named an Economic Champion for 2011 at an awards luncheon held by the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Auriga Polymers, which has a PET manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and offices in Charlotte, North Carolina was one of only 10 outstanding companies whose confidence and collective investments are providing a healthy economic climate for upstate South Carolina. Attending the awards luncheon was Bryan Moore (1st left), Business Development and Technical Director, Tammi Harrison (2nd left), Human Resources Manager, Prabhushankar Srinivasan (3rd left), Senior Vice President and Operations Head for North America and Juan Flores (4th left), Vice President of Operations.
Indorama Ventures currently has 27 sites in 14 countries globally and plays a role in the economy of each area through best labor practices and prioritizing the welfare of its employees at each site. The company acquired the major polymer assets of INVISTA in North America in March 2011 and has driven output upwards, strengthening the business during the economic downturn.

TPT Petrochemicals Plc and Indorama Polyester Industries Nakorn Prathom received the award “Green Industry Level 3 - Green System” certificate on September 26, 2011. The award is presented to companies where the Environmental Management System has been systematically performed, monitored and evaluated, reviewed for continuous improvement and where the company has received other well-known environmental awards and/or certificates for achieving other environmental standard.
On this occasion, Mr. Satyanarayan Mohta, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of TPT Petrochemicals Plc received the “Green Industry Level 3” Certificate from Dr. Witoon Simachokedee, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry in the Kamonthip Room, Siam City Hotel Bangkok.

22 September 2011 - Indorama Polyester Industries Plc, Indorama Petrochem Limited and Indorama Holdings Limited recently received CSR-DIW Continuous Award 2011 and CSIR-DIW Network Award 2011 from the Department of Industrial Works (DIW) at the Grand Hall Room, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC). The awards were presented by Mr. Arthit Wuthikaro, Director – General of Department of Industrial Works and Mr. Yongyuth Thongsuk, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry.

Indorama Holdings Ltd. received Provincial Safety Award 2011 organized by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour. The Award Ceremony was on September 14, 2011 at Monnipa Seminar Centre, Holiday Hotel Lopburi presented by Mr. Kumnung Isaro, Deputy Governor of Lopburi Province.

The “Utility” QC team from Indorama Polyester Industries Plc was selected to deliver a presentation at the 5th QCC Thailand 2011 by The Association of QC Headquarters of Thailand, Department of Industrial Works, on “Reducing the Maintenance Cost for a Sprit Type, on Zone F (Coal Fire Plant) by 50% within 6 months” at the International Convention on QC Circles 2011 in Yokohama, Japan.

On July 29, 2011 officials from Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and representatives from communities in Map Ta Phut paid an audit visit to Indorama Petrochem Limited (IRPL) to conduct the 2nd quarterly audit. The audit result showed that IRPL again this time obtained "Excellent" ratings in all topics under the "Pollution Reduction and Mitigation Plan" of the IEAT. The evaluation fell into different categories, including water management; waste management; Air/ Noise management; VOCs, Nox, SO2, green areas inside plant and working conditions; support to communities; performance of the pollution reduction plan and the accuracy of relevant data and actions following the advice of the EIA Committee.

On July 22, 2011 Ms. Prapai Palakawong Na Ayuttaya the representative from IPI-N, rewarded The Best Manufacturer Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Working Conditions at a national conference, 3rd floor, City Hall, Muang, Nakhon Pathom by Warunee Phong , Arts World Games, and the Deputy Governor of Nakhon Pathom.

On 20 July 2011, Indorama Petrochem Limited, represented by Dr. Nop Siwasitchai, Vice President (Human Resources & Admin.), was awarded the Best Manufacturer Award for Safety, Occupational Health and Working Conditions (National Level) 2011. The award was presented by Ms. Amporn Nitisiri, Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour, during Eastern Region Safety Week 2011 at the Tawarawadi Hotel, Prachinburi Province. This is the first time that the company joined the program and winning this national level award is a good reflection on our company.

Congratulations to QCC: the BEGIN team from QC&CTS Dept. who was selected by The Association of QC Headquarters of Thailand (QCHQ) under the Ministry of Industry to be a representative of Thailand. They were asked to attend and present their achievement in the international seminar “International Exposition on Team Excellence (IETEX) 2011” at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore on 14-17 June 2011

Indorama Polyester Industries Plc (Nakhon Pathom) and TPT Petrochemicals PCL received a certificate signifying they have achieved the Thai Labor Standard TLS 8001-2010 Certificate Completion Level Initiative Phase from The Ministry of Labor’s Department of Labor Protection and Welfare effective from 11th July 2011.
Thai Labor Standard, or TLS, covers the regulations and practice concerning labor employment and working conditions, including wages, working hours, holidays and safety at work. The TLS helps protects all labor equally, with good quality of life, safety and good employee relations so that they work with high morale.

On May 3, 2011 Arteva Specialties, S. de R.L. de C.V. received “Clean Industry Certificate” from the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA), for industries which fully meet and exceed the commitments derived from the environmental audits.

Indorama Textiles (Thailand) Ltd. (IRT) and Indorama Holdings Ltd. (IRH) received the top award of the AIDS and TB - response Standard Organization Certification ASO-T Thailand Platinum, organized by The Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour and the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. Award Ceremony was on February 4, 2011 at Monnipa Seminar Centre in the province of Lopburi, presented by Labour Chief Mr. Ampol Kaemjaroen.

Indorama Polyester Industries PCL, Rayong was selected in 2009 for the “Best Labor Relation & Welfare Award” for the fifth consecutive year. Being the fifth time, there was a special audit procedure with a repeat audit by the team from Ministry of Labor, Bangkok. In the medium & large group category IPI is the only company in Rayong to get this award for fifth time. The award was presented by His Excellency, The Prime Minister of Thailand in Bangkok.
The QC Group “Two for One” was awarded “Best QC Group” from The 23rd Quality Control Circles (QCC) Presentation held by The Association of QC Headquarters of Thailand on 28th April, 2009. Furthermore the group also was selected for International Convention on Quality Control Circle for the International Exposition for Team Excellence (IETEX) 2009 in Singapore.
